Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Position: Dishwasher/Prep Cook

Hours: 12:00 PM - Close (7:00 PM - 7:30 PM)

Location: Healthy Habit, 33 Office Park Road, HHI 29928

We’re seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as an Afternoon Dishwasher with additional prep cook responsibilities. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment and takes pride in keeping things clean and organized.

Responsibilities:

• Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to maintain a clean and efficient workspace
• Assist with afternoon food prep tasks, including chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and other basic prep duties
• Ensure proper sanitation and organization of the kitchen area
• Support the kitchen and front team with additional tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Ability to work afternoons and evenings Monday through Saturday (12:00 PM - 7:00/7:30 PM)
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to handle physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Prior kitchen or dishwashing experience is a plus but not required
• Follow recipes and prepare simple prep items.
• Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
• Weigh and measure ingredients
• Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
• Basic cooking functions such as preparing dressings
• Label stock and inventory all ingredients
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and listen to team members
• Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
• Experience as a Prep Cook a plus
