FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Healthy Connections is a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a 25 year history of providing quality medical, dental, and behavioral health services across Arkansas. We’re seeking a dependable and hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician to help us maintain clean, safe, and fully operational clinics that support our mission of delivering excellent care to the communities we serve.  This can be full-time or part-time.

In this essential role, you’ll be more than a “fix-it” person—you’ll be a key part of ensuring our patients and staff have the safe, well-functioning environment they deserve. From small repairs to facility-wide maintenance, you’ll travel between locations in Western and Central Arkansas, solving problems, building things, and making a real impact every day.

What You’ll Do

• Perform preventative and general maintenance: electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, and painting.

• Travel to various Healthy Connections clinics to inspect, repair, and maintain facility operations.

• Build and install furniture, shelving, partitions, or fixtures as requested.

• Support custodial needs as required—floor care, disinfecting, trash removal, etc.

• Identify facility safety or equipment issues and resolve them quickly and efficiently.

• Maintain tools and inventory; track work completed through basic documentation.

• Collaborate with clinic management to meet daily facility needs and maintenance schedules.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in building maintenance, general repair, or a skilled trade.

• Proficiency in using basic tools and completing tasks involving HVAC systems, electrical wiring, plumbing, and carpentry.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between sites.
