Duties
- Conduct thorough psychiatric assessments, including patient history, mental status examinations, and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-10 coding standards.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating psychopharmacology, therapy, and other evidence-based interventions.
- Prescribe medications such as psychotropic drugs, including those requiring specialized knowledge like botulinum toxin treatment for specific conditions.
- Provide telehealth consultations to expand access to mental health services across various settings.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment strategies as needed while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Experience
- Proven clinical experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in behavioral health or psychiatric settings, preferably within outpatient or inpatient environments.
- Experience managing complex cases.
