Healthy Aging Physical Therapy is an Outpatient at Home practice specializing in physical and occupational therapy for Older Adults, individuals with Parkinson’s Disease, and other Neurological conditions. Founded in 2020 by Dr. Katie Wadland, a Board-Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist, the practice has grown to include a team of skilled therapists and dedicated support staff. We provide Medicare B therapy, wellness services, and personal training in the comfort of patients’ homes, as well as group fitness classes at local senior centers. With a 5-star Google rating, we are committed to delivering individualized care that improves mobility, health, wellness, and quality of life.
Role Description
With flexible hours, you can choose a part-time or full-time schedule, and a salaried or per-visit model. We are in current need of support in our Stoneham, Woburn, Winchester, Wakefield and Reading areas. The role involves providing personalized in-home therapy services to patients, collaborating with other therapists and care team members, conducting thorough patient assessments, and developing and implementing treatment plans. Additionally, documentation of patient progress, contributing to community wellness initiatives, and maintaining high standards of patient care are essential components of this role.
Qualifications
- Possess expertise in providing physical therapy or assistive therapy to older adults and individuals with neurological conditions.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, development of treatment plans, and delivering therapy interventions focused on mobility, safety, and wellness.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust and rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work independently in patients’ homes while adhering to safety protocols and providing high-quality care.
- Knowledge of Medicare B therapy services, home health practices, and electronic documentation.
- A degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) or Physical Therapist Assistant certification, with relevant licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
- Experience working with older adults, geriatric populations, or individuals with neurological conditions is preferred.
