What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrophysiology Clinical Preceptor position at Healthworks, Inc.?
We are seeking a skilled Electrophysiology (EP) professional with strong STIM and EP procedural experience to support our partner facility through a short-term clinical training engagement in Indiana.
In this role, the EP Clinical Preceptor will work hands-on with an established EP team to elevate clinical proficiency, strengthen procedural competencies, and build confidence across key EP lab functions. This opportunity is ideal for an EP expert who excels in teaching, mentoring, and guiding staff in a busy procedural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver clinical preceptorship and hands-on training for staff in the Monitor (including STIM), Scrub, and Circulator roles.
- Support team members in developing deeper knowledge of EP procedures and best practices.
- Lead case preparation activities and provide structured post-procedure feedback and debriefs.
- Partner with educational leadership to ensure consistent training, troubleshooting, and skills development.
- Reinforce safe, compliant, and effective workflows aligned with current EP lab standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated Electrophysiology experience with strong procedural and technical knowledge.
- STIM experience required
- Solid understanding of ablations, cardiac device procedures, and structural heart interventions (e.g., Watchman).
- Exceptional communication, mentorship, and teaching skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Availability for the full 8 week contract duration.
- Prior experience as a preceptor, educator, or clinical trainer strongly preferred.
- Relevant credentials such as RCES, RCIS, or RN with EP experience.
