We've partnered with an established health system in Davenport, Iowa seeking an experienced
EP professional
for a short-term
Clinical Preceptor
role focused on hands-on procedural training and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical preceptorship and hands-on training for team members in the Monitor (including STIM), Scrub, and Circulator roles.
- Support a team of EP staff in developing deeper understanding of EP procedures and therapies.
- Guide team members through case study preparation and post-procedure debriefs.
- Collaborate with the Education Lead for ongoing training and troubleshooting.
- Reinforce safe and effective EP lab practices aligned with current standards.
- Participate in structured educational sessions (8 hours of didactic learning).
Qualifications
- Proven Electrophysiology experience with advanced procedural knowledge.
- STIM experience, preferably with Abbott's Claris System.
- Strong understanding of ablation, cardiac device implantation, and Watchman procedures.
- Excellent communication, teaching, and mentoring skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Availability for the full 8–12 week contract term.
- Previous experience as a clinical preceptor, educator, or trainer strongly desired
- Relevant certification (RCES, RCIS, or RN with EP experience) preferred
Schedule:
Monday–Friday; no nights, weekends, or call requirements.
