Overview
We are seeking a reliable Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to various destinations while providing exceptional customer service. Current Rideshare Drivers are preferred for this role. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers during their travel experience.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a van to transport passengers to designated locations.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking, as well as addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and passenger needs.
- Participate in regular vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to management promptly.
- Ability to complete online Defensive Driver, First Aid CPR, and Wheelchair Securement Training.
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening, background check, and motor vehicle check.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people.
- Experience as a Ride Share Driver is preferred, with knowledge of Wheelchair driving practices being a plus.
- Familiarity with paratransit services or school bus driving is advantageous.
- Ability to drive safely in various weather conditions while maintaining focus on passenger safety.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules and routes efficiently.
- Capability to maintain a calm demeanor under pressure, especially in busy or challenging situations.
