Job Summary and Qualifications
The HCA Warehouse Custodian is responsible for general office cleaning and sanitizing duties such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, wiping surfaces and trash removal in all restrooms, offices, lobby’s, kitchen areas and breakroom areas. Monthly deep cleanings of restrooms, offices, lobby’s and breakroom areas. Restocking of kitchen and bathroom materials. Daily trash collection and proper disposal.
What you will do in this role:
- Daily general commercial office cleaning and sanitizing in a warehouse facility environment.
- Clean and sanitize office’s, training classrooms, restrooms, conference rooms, locker areas to include sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, dust-mopping, wet-mopping, spot washing and cleaning of walls, doors, and partitions.
- Clean and disinfect employee restrooms, sinks, countertops, toilets, and bathroom stall walls.
- Empty all trash bins and transport trash & waste to proper disposal areas.
- Restock supplies in bathrooms, break rooms and common area as necessary.
- Respond to all housekeeping requests and report any issues and complaints.
- Observation of all HCA Safety policies and OSHA rules and regulations.
- Clean and sanitize all lobby entrances and water coolers.
- Spot clean and clean all interior glass surfaces.
- Empty and sanitize all trash bins and transport trash & waste to proper disposal areas.
- Always wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Properly label, dilute, and use all chemicals.
- Report any damage to cleaning equipment to the Sanitation Lead.
- Notify Facilities Safety Coordinator of any needed facility repairs.
- Respond promptly to clean up wet floors.
- Maintain janitor’s closet in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
- Track and order cleaning supplies.
- Follow procedures for the use of cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Schedules, assignments, shifts and/or days may be modified for operational purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
What you need in the role:
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Previous custodial / cleaning experience, preferred or equivalent combination of education and/or experience
