DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (UROLOGY) MIDWEST REGIONAL TERRITORY

HealthTronics is looking for a Director of Business Development who can come on board and bring innovative ideas to the table for forming new physician-based ventures and partnerships in areas of stone management; including ESWL, laser, and office-based stone centers. You will work directly with the Business Operations and Clinical Operations teams in implementing the strategic goals of the company.
The demand for lithotripsy technologists (radiologic technologists) is expected to grow by 12% from 2020 to 2030, which is faster than the average for all occupations. This growth is being driven by the increasing prevalence of kidney stones, which are the most common type of urologic stone. The cost of medical care is also rising, which is making lithotripsy a more attractive option for patients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Develops and maintains physician customer relationships and identifies potential business partners.
Works with other departments to ensure alignment of company goals, as set by the Vice President of Partnerships
Responsible for developing new organic strategic initiatives, assessing new markets, and analyzing business opportunities.
Utilizes available resources, such as company data, and Sales and Partnership Management team members, to identify leads for strategic opportunities.
Evaluates new opportunities that build physician financial investment aligned with Healthtronics Partnerships strategy and goals.
Conducts research on potential acquisition targets utilizing physician and customer
relationships, current market knowledge and other available resources.
Gathers and provides accurate and reliable information to Company for decision-making on development opportunities.
Engages with the Partnerships Portfolio Team to prepare pro-forma underwriting models and
presentations for potential investors.
Coordinates the negotiation of strategic arrangements and partnerships and the closing of
deals.
Works with potential partners in order to identify appropriate and favorable contracting site- of-service opportunities.
Coordinates with the Partnerships Portfolio Team to complete due diligence, and to plan and implement the smooth transition of newly formed or acquired partnerships.
Engages with physicians to increase physician involvement with current business as well as new business.
Monitors and communicates to Company trends such as competitive activity, health system consolidations, large practice group changes, and other market factors affecting existing and future business.
Monitors regulatory environment and assesses impact on current and future operations.
Serves as first point of HealthTronics contact for all Partnership issues and activities for assigned Partnerships.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
7 years of experience in business development and working with physicians.
Ability to understand and analyze financial models.
Superior communication skills: ability to interact successfully at all levels with peers, physicians, executives, customers, and staff.
Self-starter with excellent time management skills.
40-50% Extensive travel throughout the assigned region, with occasional weekend obligations.
Availability to attend meetings and other functions outside of normal business areas.
Many overnight stays, flexibility in schedule is a must.
While in a clinical environment there may be a risk to occupational electrical and radiation exposure.
