What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at HealthSpan Physical Therapy?
Physical Therapist – HealthSpan PT (Auburn, MI)
Auburn, Michigan | Full-Time | $74,000 - $90,000 (with performance bonuses tied to clinic growth)
If you are looking to see 20 patients a day, this isn't the job for you. But if you want the time and autonomy to actually change someone's health trajectory — read on.
Most PT jobs look the same on paper. High patient volume. Cookie-cutter protocols. Clock in, treat, document, repeat.
HealthSpan PT is different — and we're looking for someone who is too.
A Note on Ownership: HealthSpan PT was founded and is owned by a licensed Physical Therapist. Every decision — from caseload size to the tools we use — is made by someone who has stood in your shoes.
Our Vision: To help 10,000 people maximize their HealthSpan by providing quick access to care, transparent pricing, and reliable communication — while restoring our communities' faith in the healthcare system.
We're an outpatient clinic built around one big idea: Physical Therapists don't just treat pain. They have the unique ability to change the entire trajectory of a person's health. Their Healthspan. That belief is baked into everything we do — from how we treat patients to how we build our team.
We have an established and thriving clinic in Midland, MI — and now we're building something special in Auburn. This is a ground-floor opportunity to help shape a new clinic, grow with it, and leave your mark on a community that needs great care.
If you're a new grad hungry to grow, or an experienced clinician looking for a place that actually values your ideas and trusts your clinical judgment, we want to talk!
What Makes HealthSpan PT Different
1:1 Care, Every Time. No double-booking. No rushing. Every patient gets your full attention, every visit. It's better for them — and honestly, it's better for you.
You're Not Just an Employee. You're a Builder. We're growing, and we want your fingerprints on that growth. Your ideas, your feedback, your clinical perspective — we actively want it and we act on it.
A Team That Actually Acts Like One. We're not about individual glory. We celebrate assists. We help each other succeed — and that includes our patients.
Our Core Values (We Actually Live By These)
Joy in the Journey — Healthcare doesn't have to be drab. We make it engaging, fun, and something patients actually look forward to.
Stay Flexible — Healthcare evolves fast. We adapt, experiment, and never stand still.
Over-Communicate — With patients, with each other, with referring providers. Clear communication is a clinical skill.
Empower — We give our team autonomy, CEU support, and a real voice in how we operate.
Strive for Assists — Our wins are collective. If our patients succeed, our community grows stronger, and our team thrives — that's the goal.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough evaluations and build individualized treatment plans
- Deliver hands-on, evidence-based care to improve mobility, reduce pain, and extend healthspan
- Educate patients and families with tools they can actually use at home
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and referring providers
- Maintain accurate, efficient documentation
What You'll Grow Into
At most clinics, career growth means waiting years for someone above you to leave. At HealthSpan PT, we're actively expanding — which means real opportunities open up fast for people who show up, invest in their patients, and embrace our culture.
Clinic Director The Auburn clinic opened in Spring 2025. Right now it's run by me — the owner. I'm looking for the person who eventually takes this off my plate and grows it into something neither of us can fully envision yet.
Clinical Specialization We actively support you in pursuing advanced certifications and specialized training — whether that's manual therapy, dry needling, sports rehab, or whatever lights you up clinically. The more you grow, the more impact you have.
Mentorship & Team Leadership As we bring on new staff, experienced team members naturally become mentors and culture carriers. If you love developing others, there's a real role for that here — and we'll recognize it.
Multi-Location Involvement With clinics in both Auburn and Midland, there are opportunities to cross-collaborate, share expertise between locations, and take on responsibilities that go beyond the four walls of one clinic.
AI Scribe - We are dedicated to keeping up with the times! Utilize our AI scribe so documentation doesn't follow you home!
We won't promise you a title on day one. But we will promise that if you grow, we grow with you — and we'll invest in making that happen.
