- Hero Pay (DCW): Eligible for food service specialists.
- Shift Premium: $0.50 premium available for eligible 2nd shift employees.

What You'll Do:
The Food Service Specialist will perform the full range of assignments including but not limited to:
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following all health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Prepare food items as required, and deliver for catering functions, meals, nourishments, resident/patient snacks and floor supplies.
- Maintain proper inventory of all supplies in assigned work area and units.
- Assemble resident/patient food trays, working as part of a pod service. Read menus, portion food according to prescribed measures, and follow standards for accuracy, temperature, and appearance.
- Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and residents through various interactions, including telephone calls and in-person assistance.
- Wash and sanitize service ware, pots, pans and kitchen equipment using both dish machines and the three-compartment sink method; Clean interior and exterior of dish machine at conclusion of each meal period and properly store clean dishware.
- Visits residents/patients to provide and obtain information about food choices, preferences, dislikes and food allergies.
Requirements
What We're Looking For:
REQUIRED:
- Must be at least 16 years of age. A work permit is required if currently enrolled in High School.
- Previous food service experience.
PREFERRED:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- ServSafe or other related certifications.
