Key Responsibilities
- Department Management: Partner with the Pharmacist-in-Charge to manage the pharmacy department in an Assistant Manager capacity, ensuring smooth operations.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and manage pharmacy staff and technicians to optimize daily workflow and productivity.
- Operational Execution: Accurately receive, input, and process prescriptions using PrimeRx pharmacy management software.
- Billing Leadership: Independently navigate complex insurance rejections, prior authorizations, and third-party commercial/Medicare Part D adjudication.
- Clinical Coordination: Serve as the primary, professional point of contact for external clinics, specialty pharmacy divisions, physicians, and nurses.
- Inventory Ownership: Manage daily inventory levels, oversee return-to-stock (RTS), track expirations, and optimize wholesaler ordering to minimize waste.
Job Requirements
- Management Experience: Previous experience managing pharmacy staff or serving as an assistant manager, supervisor, or lead technician.
- Software Mastery (Required): Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Micro Merchant PrimeRx software.
- Pharmacy Experience: Extensive retail pharmacy experience (2 years in an independent community or specialty pharmacy setting is highly preferred).
- Licensure: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) designation is preferred but not required.
- Commute: Ability to reliably commute to New York, NY 10065 (In-person role).
Pay: $25.00 - $40.00 per hour
