What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Resident position at HealthSource of Ohio?
The Administrative Resident will will perform rotations and project work for each HealthSource department: Marketing/Development, Human Resources, Operations, Compliance, and Finance. This year-long learning experience will enable the resident to learn about health services administration from all levels of the organization, from front desk staff to the C-Suite and Board.
- Delivers the HSO brand promise of putting the patient/customer at the center of all we do.
- Exhibits brand characteristics of Friendly, Accessible, and Credible.
- Departmental Shadowing
- Shadow each department for month-long rotations during the first six months of the residency.
- Assist with specific department projects as they arise during each rotation.
- Keep note of long-term projects for the second half of the residency, which will be focused project work.
- Project Work
- For the second half of the residency, identify and complete projects with key stakeholders.
- Keep track of project management, timelines, and deliverables.
- Communication with Preceptor
- Meet with Preceptor on a regular basis to discuss rotations, projects, deliverables, and professional development.
- Observe the healthcare landscape at large
- During the residency, the resident will be encouraged to broaden theirhealthcare scope to learn about health departments, hospitals, othercommunity health centers, and more through shadowing.
- Other Duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Must be enrolled or recently graduated from a MHSA (Masters of Health Services Administration) or equivalent program
