Rehab Specialist
A rehab therapist or specialist is an even paced individual who thrives in a fast pace, harmonious environment . A therapist is an optimistic individual . The therapist must be moderately high in sociability with an outgoing personality . Structured organization, and follow-through will not only help monitor patients receiving therapy during daily office visits, but also help encourage patients to continue on with their treatment program.
- Have a thorough understanding in performing all therapies utilized in the office.
- Understand why each therapy is used in specific/different situations.
- Be able to effectively communicate to the patient why a specific therapy is being used at a particular time.
- Explain therapy to all new patients.
- Keep therapy and rehab equipment clean and orderly.
- Keep the back office running smooth by moving patients efficiently.
- Greet the patient with excellent eye contact and a welcoming smile.
- Be prepared to perform the initial step in all examinations processes. (i.e. entrance and progress examinations)
- Guide patient through his/her rehabilitation program and be efficient at demonstrating all exercises prescribed in the clinic.
- Be prepared to educate patients in the clinic.
- Assist all other TEAM members as needed.
- Monitor and promote therapy/rehab within the office and achieve a one to one therapy to patient visit ration.
- Assist with marketing projects
Exercise Science Degree desirable, but not a requirement. On the job training offered!
Part time (if needed)
Full time opportunity available
No Fridays or weekends :)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
