We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse & Pack Room Lead Operator to oversee daily operations within our warehouse and pack room environments. This pivotal role involves managing inventory, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, pack room startup, and material handling. Duties
- Lead and supervise warehouse and pack room to ensure accurate order fulfillment, packing, and shipping operations.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including stock control, cycle counts, and reconciliation using Warehouse Management Systems.
- Coordinate shipping and receiving activities with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
- Implement process improvements to enhance workflow efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize materials handling procedures.
- Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment safely for heavy lifting, stock movement, and materials handling tasks in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and warehouse activities; prepare reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including OSHA guidelines, by attending regular safety audits and training sessions.
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse, distribution logistics, or related roles with leadership responsibilities.
- knowledge of inventory control techniques and warehouse distribution processes.
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to foster a safety-first environment.
- Mechanical knowledge related to materials handling equipment like forklifts; forklift certification is highly desirable.
Overview
As the lead operator for this position, you will work closely with the Operations manager to meet the ongoing needs of the Warehouse and packaging room. you will be responsible for Shipping/Receiving, Maintaining Daily Pack room operations. Material handling & Stocking, Record Keeping, and Maintain strong communication with the Management team.
