What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cheer Coach Instructor position at Healthplex Associates, Inc.?
Come join a great organization health and wellness club as a Cheer Instructor. Responsible for well designed, safe, fun and challenging exercise programs/classes by performing the following duties.
- Develops a curriculum for Cheer Classes/Programs as assigned by the Program Director. Lesson plans must be developed for all classes at least one week in advance.
- Maintains logs of class attendance for classes taught.
- Teaches classes in a fun safe and challenging manner. Classes must be designed to provide an effective exercise program in an entertaining manner.
- Inspects the studio and instructional areas to insure lighting, temperature, sound system and equipment are all in top working condition. Reports problems and takes appropriate action.
- Has complete knowledge of safety procedures including the evacuation of the studios/instructional areas in case of an emergency.
Class schedule varies by instructor availability and center schedule.
Education/Training
Degree: Undergraduate degree in Exercise Science or health-related field is preferred, but not required.
Must have Basic First Aid and AED training.
Experience
Experience in the All star is required.
Licenses & Certifications
AFAA or IDEA certified is preferred but not required.
CPR Certification required.
