Position Title: Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) / Behavioral Health Counselor (BHC)
Location: Glendale, AZ
Employment Type: Full-Time (Mon-Thurs 6pm-3am) (Fri-Sat-Sun 6pm-6am)
Work Setting: Residential Behavioral Health Program – Adolescents
Compensation: $20 - $22 / hr

Our residential program in Glendale provides 24/7 care for adolescents who need a safe, structured, and supportive living environment. As a BHT/BHC, you are essential to creating stability, reinforcing treatment goals, and supporting youth through their recovery journey.
Position Overview
The Behavioral Health Technician / Behavioral Health Counselor provides direct supervision, therapeutic support, and daily structure to adolescent residents. This role focuses on maintaining a safe and recovery-oriented milieu while supporting clinical programming and daily living activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise adolescent residents and support daily routines and structured activities
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic residential environment
- Observe, document, and report client behaviors and incidents accurately
- Assist with daily living needs including hygiene, meals, and health monitoring
- Conduct drug screenings in accordance with program protocols
- Participate in therapeutic and recreational programming
- Collaborate closely with clinical, medical, and leadership teams
- Maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and respectful communication
- Uphold health, safety, and cleanliness standards within the residence
- Perform additional duties as needed to support client care and program operations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in behavioral health (1–2 years preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience working with adolescents in residential or care-based settings preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Must pass required background checks
- Possess or be eligible for a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
