Travel Registered Nurse PACU Job

Overview
Registered Nurse - PACU available for a 13-week travel assignment in Great Falls, Montana. Start date 09/08/2026 with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Shift pattern is 3x12-hour days. Work setting is a short-term acute care environment providing PreOp/PACU and Pre/Post Cath procedural nursing care. This assignment requires call and holiday coverage. Certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care in PreOp, PACU, and Pre/Post Cath/procedural recovery for adult and pediatric patients.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, pain, airway status, and hemodynamics; respond promptly to changes and maintain patient safety.
- Facilitate recovery across multiple surgical specialties, including Orthopedics, Podiatry, ENT, Urology, GYN, General, Plastics, Endoscopy, Ophthalmology, and Pre/Post Cath patients.
- Collaborate with perioperative teams to ensure clean, efficient transitions, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control protocols.
- Manage flexible scheduling, with on-call and holiday coverage as required; communicate changes effectively with the care team.
- Prepare patients for discharge from PACU and provide appropriate post-anesthesia education and instructions to families.

Requirements
- Active RN license in good standing (state to be determined per assignment)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS required
- Proficient in recovering both adults and pediatrics; PACU or perioperative nursing experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced perioperative setting across diverse surgical specialties
- Education: graduation from an approved RN program (RN degree or diploma)
