Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic procedures per physician orders, ensuring patient safety and image quality.
- Position patients, select appropriate exposure factors, and operate radiography equipment following ALARA radiation safety principles.
- Maintain patient comfort and privacy; apply sterile technique as required; adhere to infection control practices.
- Verify and document images in the EPIC EMR system; communicate findings or issues to radiologists and care teams.
- Collaborate with operating room staff and radiology colleagues during procedures and interventional imaging as needed.
- Adhere to department policies, equipment quality checks, and safety standards to support accurate diagnostic results.
Requirements
- Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT (R) certification
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Minimum 3 years of current X-ray experience
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Operating room experience strongly preferred
- Prior travel experience preferred; ability to complete a travel assignment
