Responsibilities
- Perform General MRI and MR angiography (MRA) imaging procedures according to department protocols to support patient care workflows.
- Safely position patients, screen for contraindications, monitor patient comfort, and ensure patient safety throughout MRI exams.
- Optimize image quality by selecting appropriate sequences, adjusting parameters, and ensuring proper coil usage.
- Operate MRI equipment and coordinate with radiologists and technologists to maintain efficient patient flow and timely exam completion.
- Manage PACS/RIS workflows, verify patient data, and document procedures and findings in the imaging record.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiology program.
- Licenses: Current Arizona state license in Radiology and MRI.
- Certifications: ARRT Certification in Radiology (RT[R]) and in MRI (MR); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of MRI procedures experience; experience with PACS/RIS systems and general computer programs.
- Ability to work in a busy imaging environment within a surgical center setting and to adhere to safety and quality standards.
