Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy assistant services under the supervision of a licensed OT, contributing to the plan of care for residents.
- Implement therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and functional mobility interventions tailored to geriatric populations.
- Monitor resident progress, document responses to interventions, and communicate findings to the supervising OT and interdisciplinary care team.
- Ensure safety and infection control during treatment sessions; assist with device management, positioning, and adaptive equipment as indicated.
- Participate in care planning, goal-setting, and ongoing evaluation to support residents’ functional goals and quality of life.
Requirements
- Current Montana Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain one
- Graduation from an accredited OTA program with eligibility for Montana licensure
- Experience in long-term care or geriatric rehabilitation preferred; not required
- Ability to work a Days shift in a 13-week travel assignment
- Must be able to travel to and work within the assignment location and comply with relevant facility and state regulations
- Strong communication and documentation skills; ability to collaborate with the care team
