Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in the operating room during surgical procedures, maintaining strict sterile technique and assisting the surgeon as needed
• Set up and breakdown ORs for ortho, neuro, and trauma cases; pass instruments, tools, and supplies; manage instrument counts to ensure patient safety
• Assist with patient positioning, draping, and exposure, while cooperating with the perioperative team to support smooth case flow
• Maintain equipment readiness, stock supplies, and communicate supply needs to the team to prevent delays
• Adhere to AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS requirements and enforce OR safety protocols during all procedures
• Participate in call coverage as required, including at least 1 night per week and 1 weekend per schedule, with additional coverage based on unit needs
  
  

Requirements

• Six months of OR experience or completed Scrub Tech course (required)
• BLS certification (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS) required
• Active certification/license as a Surgical Technologist or equivalent per state requirements
• Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting and adapt to variable schedules
• Must have worked in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months
• Ortho, Neuro, and Trauma experience preferred; 1 years of related experience preferred
