Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to patients across multiple areas, including acute care, OB, and ER
• Perform basic interpretation of electrocardiograms and identify potentially life-threatening arrhythmias; communicate findings to the medical team
• Adhere to and apply indications and contraindications for respiratory care procedures per American Association for Respiratory Care guidelines
• Provide advanced life support as required, including ACLS, neonatal life support, and pediatric life support protocols
• Conduct patient assessments, document findings, and convey pertinent data to physicians; participate in care planning and consultations
• Perform intubation procedures when indicated and manage ventilator support and weaning as appropriate
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, quality of care, and infection control
  
  

Requirements

• Active Montana Respiratory Care Practitioner license (RRT) and registration
• ACLS, Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
• Ability to interpret ECGs and determine life-threatening arrhythmias; capable of performing intubation and other advanced respiratory procedures
• Willingness to work rotating 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday on-call requirements
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with physicians and the care team; maintain accurate patient records
