Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and functional respiratory tests and monitor patients’ progress; adjust therapies as prescribed and documented
• Create and implement patient-specific treatment plans for respiratory care, in collaboration with the care team
• Provide NICU-focused respiratory therapy per unit protocols, including monitoring neonates and adjusting support as needed
• Perform phlebotomy and IV starts/removals as necessary and educate patients on administering treatments and utilizing equipment
• Educate patients and families on therapies, devices, and home-care considerations; ensure understanding of treatment goals
• Document care, progress, and any changes in the electronic health record; maintain infection control and safety standards
  
  

Requirements

• Active Respiratory Therapist license in Wisconsin
• NICU experience required
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and travel assignments
• Ability to work in a hospital setting and participate in a rotating schedule including weekends and holidays
