Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care to surgical patients across preoperative, intraoperative, and immediate postoperative phases
• Monitor patient status, vital signs, and anesthesia-related metrics; respond promptly to changes
• Maintain sterile technique, assist with instrumentation and equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with anesthesia providers, surgeons, scrub techs, and the broader care team; communicate clearly with patients and families
• Document assessments, intraoperative events, and post-anesthesia handoffs in the medical record with accuracy and timeliness
• Support patient and family education, advocacy, and privacy, while upholding professional standards of care
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility/compact license
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; eligibility for RN licensure in GA
• Perioperative nursing experience or demonstrated perioperative competency
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills; ability to work in a fast-paced hospital OR setting
• Ability to work a day shift schedule and travel for a 13-week assignment
