Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care for medical-surgical telemetry patients and ED holds as assigned within the float pool
• Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vitals and telemetry, administer medications, and manage IV therapy
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the Cerner EMR; provide accurate and timely handoffs
• Recognize and respond to clinical changes, initiate appropriate escalation, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe patient care
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and patient education; support efficient unit throughput and orderly discharges when appropriate
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license in New Jersey or a Compact state; license must be valid at time of submission
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH (as listed in job notes)
• Minimum 2 years of recent MST/telemetry experience
• Proficient with Cerner EMR
• Flu vaccination required (no declinations accepted)
• Ability to float between MST units and ED holds; comfortable working nights and supporting every other weekend and every other holiday
• Scrub color: navy blue (assignment detail)
