Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for adult med-surg patients, with emphasis on ortho surgical cases
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, perform wound care, and monitor patient status
• Conduct comprehensive assessments; document in EPIC EMR; adjust care plans in collaboration with the team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case management, and family to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Support safe patient mobilization, transfers, and postoperative care; ensure safety and infection control standards
• Respond to changes in patient condition and participate in escalation protocols as needed
  
  

Requirements

• Current RN license on file at time of submission (Vermont)
• BLS, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS certifications
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years
• Orthopedic surgical Med/Surg experience: minimum 2 years; facility seeks 4 years MS with ortho for first travel assignment; experience in a large teaching trauma center preferred
• Travel experience preferred; ability to work 3x12 night shifts; weekend coverage may be required
• Demonstrated ability to complete comprehensive work history as part of submission
