Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including rapid assessment and ongoing monitoring
• Triage patients and prioritize care based on acuity; respond to emergencies and code events
• Administer medications and treatments, start IVs, manage fluids, and assist with procedures as needed
• Interpret clinical data, document findings, and communicate changes to the multidisciplinary team
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other staff to develop and implement plan of care
• Discharge planning, patient education, and safe handoff to accepting units or families
  
  

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required; AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS required; AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS required
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months
• RTO, Birthdate, and Social Security Number required for processing
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency department environment
