Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the inpatient dialysis unit
• Administer prescribed medications and dialysis-related treatments in accordance with policies, standards of care, and state regulations
• Document patient care accurately and timely in accordance with standards of care and regulatory requirements
• Develop, initiate, and execute an individualized plan of care, including patient and family education, as prescribed by the physician and hospital policy
• Participate in unit performance improvement activities and support the patient’s longitudinal plan of care
• Apply clinical expertise to support other units as needed and escalate patient safety concerns through the proper channels
  
  

Requirements

• Current Wisconsin Registered Nurse license (active)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required prior to start
• Experience in inpatient acute dialysis or a related critical care setting preferred
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
• Ability to work in a hospital-based inpatient dialysis setting and participate in a travel assignment
• Willingness to work days with on-call responsibilities as described in the assignment details
