Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based care to critically ill cardiac and post-operative CVICU patients
• Monitor hemodynamics, manage invasive lines, titrate vasoactive medications, and assist with mechanical ventilation as needed
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including cardiac surgeons, physicians, and ancillary staff, to develop and implement patient care plans
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, document outcomes in the electronic health record, and ensure accurate and timely handoffs to the next shift
• Respond to code events and follow ACLS protocols; implement NIH-stroke scale assessments as required
• Uphold infection control, patient safety, and care coordination standards in a high-acuity environment
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license in California
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH required
• CVICU experience preferred
• Ability to work a 3x12 night shift schedule (1900-0730) in a high-acuity setting
• Hours per week approximately 36–48
