Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment to acquire diagnostic-quality images of the body
• Explain procedures to patients, position and immobilize as needed, and observe during scans under physician direction
• Review computer-generated information and images to determine if they are satisfactory for diagnostic purposes
• Apply safety protocols and use protection devices to ensure patient and staff safety during MRI procedures
• Maintain clear, thorough documentation of procedures and coordinate with radiologists and other health professionals as needed
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout the exam, and ensure proper labeling and storage of images
  
  

Requirements

• Active MRI technologist credential or state licensure as required for this role
• ARRT MRI certification or eligibility as applicable
• Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts and participate in a traveling assignment
• Capacity to work in a hospital setting and perform imaging in a fast-paced environment
• Strong patient communication skills and teamwork
• Education aligned with radiologic technology standards (degree or certificate appropriate for licensure)
