Responsibilities

• Conduct PT evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients in the short-term care setting
• Implement evidence-based interventions to restore mobility, strength, balance, gait, and daily functional abilities; adjust plans as needed
• Document assessments, plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in the electronic medical record; communicate findings with the care team
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety strategies, and discharge instructions
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians; participate in rounds and care conferences; provide weekend coverage for inpatient duties every 5–7 weeks
• Maintain compliance with licensure, facility policies, and patient safety standards; no on-call requirements
  
  

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license to practice in California; BLS certification required
• 3–5 years of physical therapy experience preferred
• Women's health experience and/or certification or actively working toward PRPC or WCS
• Ability to work in a fast-paced short-term care setting; flexible start times and weekend coverage as described
• Availability to fulfill the 13-week assignment with the specified schedule
