Responsibilities

• Perform tests requiring limited skill and responsibility under supervision and exercise independent judgment as competency is demonstrated
• Maintain acceptable accuracy in in-patient testing, quality assurance, proficiency and competency testing
• Use clinical and theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret and report lab data
• Maintain current personal training and practice of policies and procedures
• Apply organizational skills to ensure efficient use of time, materials and availability of lab data
• Communicate findings, monitor information, resolve issues, and hand off data to team members
  
  

Requirements

• Demonstrated competency in clinical laboratory testing and the ability to perform tests with limited supervision
• Strong commitment to accuracy in patient testing and adherence to quality assurance procedures
• Ability to apply critical thinking to analyze, investigate, interpret and report laboratory data
• Maintain current personal training and practice of policies and procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork to support hand-offs and lab operations
• Capacity to work in a dayshift, 8-hour laboratory setting within a healthcare facility
