Responsibilities

• Perform tests requiring limited skill and responsibility under the supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor, Manager, or Laboratory Director; exercise independent judgment minimally as competency is demonstrated
• Maintain accuracy in in-patient results, quality assurance, proficiency testing, and competency assessments
• Apply clinical and theoretical knowledge to analyze, investigate, interpret, and report laboratory data
• Maintain current personal training, education, and practice of policies and procedures
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills to optimize time, materials, and data handling, ensuring availability of lab data and controlling costs
• Communicate effectively with team members, monitor data, resolve issues, and hand off information as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned within the laboratory setting
  
  

Requirements

• Ability to work in a hospital-based laboratory setting
• Willingness to work a night-shift schedule (3x12 hours) for a travel assignment
• Demonstrated competency in performing clinical laboratory tests under supervision with the potential to apply independent judgment as competency develops
• Strong attention to accuracy in patient results and in quality assurance activities
• Ability to analyze, interpret, and report laboratory data with clear, accurate documentation
