We are looking for part-time, Youth Camp Counselors to join our team! This role will lead, support, engage, and motivate youth in our activity programs for Mercy HealthPlex - West Clermont, managed by HealthFitness, in Batavia, OH .
Schedule: Monday- Friday - 7:45 am - 12:45 pm or 12:45pm - 5 pm, 25 hours per week, Summer camp runs: May 18th- August 16th,

Key Accountabilities
- Enthusiastically lead and support participants through program activities.
- Monitor participants to ensure compliance with rules, prevent accidents, and identify inappropriate behaviors.
- Proactively address and deescalate inappropriate behavior.
- Provide corrective direction to help participants learn appropriate actions and to make positive behavioral choices.
- Work with program coordinator and program staff to plan and coordinate activities.
- Maintain, clean and ensure proper use of facilities and equipment.
- Supervise children ranging from ages [insert age range if applicable].
- Clean up after the children every shift.
- Play games and other activities with the children.
- Make sure the children are checked in and out by parents.
- Nurture sharing, sportsmanship and other social skills.
- Escort the children to the playground and ball fields.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Robust ability to actively lead and engage youth.
- Strong verbal communication skills with both children and adults.
- Active listing skills and ability to relate to and provide fun, engaging, safe activities for youth of different backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and make decisions with limited supervision.
- Ability to be a positive role model for program participants.
- Adult & Pediatric CPR/AED certification (obtained in person or blended)from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute required prior to start date.
