Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient patient flow through the clinic by following established workflows
- Provide clinical support including:
- Escorting patients to exam rooms
- Recording vital signs and measurements
- Assisting with screenings and exams
- Administering treatments and medications as directed
- Counseling on safety, nutrition, and development
- Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
- Maintain exam rooms and supplies
- Perform laboratory services including phlebotomy and CLIA-waived tests
- Process referrals and track test results
- Serve as a communication liaison between provider and patient
- Provide administrative support including scheduling and inventory management
- Participate in team huddles and assist with training new Medical Assistants
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
