Job Details:
- Evaluate patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing functions to determine therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing abilities
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate, timely records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Provide therapy sessions on an as-needed, PRN basis, primarily during weekdays
- Adapt therapy approaches to meet the unique needs of each patient
Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Proven experience in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation setting preferred

Requirements
Applicants must have active Kentucky Speech Language Pathologist license or must have the necessary qualifications to earn Kentucky license. These qualifications include a Master’s Degree in speech-language pathology, passing the Praxis II: Subject Assessment in Speech-Language Pathology exam, and fulfilling the state’s requirements for licensure. Additionally, applicants must hold Certificate of Clinical Competence or be supervised as a Clinical Fellow prior to attaining CCCs. .
