Daily Responsibilities For The Oncology Registered Nurse
- Performs nursing assessment that includes the holistic needs of each patient with consideration of his/her physiological, psychological, social, ethnic, cultural, educational and spiritual strengths and needs. Includes the patient and family and/or support system in the planning and delivery of care
- Administers medications, IV fluids in a safe and efficient manner following established policies and procedures
- Confers with nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team regarding condition of patients and/or any unusual events or problems to ensure continuity of care
Required Qualifications For The Oncology Registered Nurse
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Clear and active License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York
- 1 year of experience as a RN – Hospital, Outpatient or Physician Practice
- Must have knowledge of Windows and Office software
- Medical, dental, vision healthcare benefits package
