Daily Responsibilities For Mammography Technologist
- Conscious of radiation safety measures and demonstrates competence in the selection and use of shielding devices as age appropriate for the patient or as requested when study content will not be compromised. Utilizes sterile technique when applicable for invasive procedures.
- Participates in formal and inservice training programs of KelseySeybold Clinic, departmentspecific inservices, and any applicable sitespecific training. Maintains current applicable licenses and/or certifications and complies with continuing education requirements necessary to maintain same.
- Monday to Friday 7AM - 6:30PM
- High School diploma or GED. Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- 40 hours of mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers
- (2) years experience in mammography or one (1) year Kelsey-Seybold experience in Xray and/or SCNB
- Knowledge of QC testing and MQSA requirements.
- Associates degree in Applied Science - Radiologic Technology.
- Mammography and SCNB experience
- Bilingual
