What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Practical Nurse position at Healthcare Services & Senior?
Cascade Park Vista seeks a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to contribute significantly to our culture and service and be passionate about caring for the elderly and mentally ill individuals. The individual selected will need to be reliable, customer service-minded, and take pride in making our residents smile through the delivery of quality care in our assisted living community.
Responsibilities may include:
- Monitor the health and well-being of our residents
- Diabetic Management, including blood sugar checks and insulin administration
- Communicate with outside providers (PCP, Home Health, etc.) regarding residents' status
- Communicate effectively with family members, POA’s and legal guardians
- Contribute clinical information needed for care conferences and care planning
- Oversee and monitor care provided by our caregivers and med techs
Qualifications and skills:
- Current LPN license
- Must have knowledge of nursing care practices, especially in the context of geriatric care; state Boarding Home regulations about resident care
- Therapeutic Options & Hand in Hand training a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable, team player, caring, and able to foster an atmosphere of dignity and respect
- Requires a positive attitude and high energy level
- Requires strong communication skills
- Be detail-oriented
