Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC units; troubleshoot, install, repair, and replace as needed.
- Conduct HVAC inspections and change filters as needed.
- Repair and maintain buildings and facilities.
- Complete set-ups and tear-downs for scheduled campus events.
- Perform general maintenance using basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry, appliance repair, and electrical wiring.
- Operate and maintain tools used in the maintenance and repair of building facilities.
- Remove snow with shovels, blowers, and plows when necessary.
- Provide logistical support for campus activities and maintain a safe, clean, and conducive environment for learning.
- Assist with fire drills, lockdowns, and other safety exercises.
- Assist in managing traffic flow and parking throughout the campus.
- Perform on-call duties as needed/assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of HVAC experience and general maintenance.
- Experience in one or more building trades and CMMS software.
- HVAC/R Certification and Refrigerant License required.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Enjoy working independently and as part of a team; flexible and dependable.
- Ability to walk for long periods and lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Work from ladders, climb stairs and perform tasks that require bending, reaching, and crawling.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Sit at a desk working on a computer as needed.
- Must provide a criminal background check.
