Responsibilities
- Assist in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of customer service.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing and employee orientation processes for new team members.
- Contribute to inventory management, including stock ordering, stock rotation, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping records.
- Help manage sales floor activities such as merchandising, pricing strategies, and promotional displays to maximize retail sales.
- Participate in training and development initiatives to enhance team performance and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Assist with cash handling duties, POS (Point of Sale) system operations, and cashiering responsibilities to ensure efficient transactions.
- Support management in shift supervision, employee scheduling, and maintaining a positive team environment.
- Engage in marketing activities to promote store offerings and improve customer engagement through effective communication skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or food service management is preferred; supervisory or assistant manager experience is highly valued.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service excellence.
- Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and retail math principles.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are considered an asset for serving diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in supervising teams and managing store operations.
- Basic bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling skills are desirable.
