KNOWLEDGE
Understanding of HIPAA with the ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
Skills
- Collects payments and co-payments for all services at time of the patient’s exam.
- Demonstrates courtesy and helpfulness towards patients and their families.
- Scheduling Walk-in, STAT, and Same Day Appointments.
- Cancelling/Re-Scheduling No Show and incomplete exams as well as confirming next day
- Escorts and directs patients to dressing rooms and lockers for changing into exam gowns.
- Prints out all patient paperwork and assembles patient’s charts on behalf of Rad Technologists.
- Demonstrate cooperative, positive and professional patient care and customer service.
- Demonstrates commitment to organizational goals.
- Attend all mandatory in-services and training.
- Verify and process patient benefits/responsibilities for upcoming appointments.
- Confirm next day appointments.
- Other duties as assigned
High school diploma/GED equivalent is required.
Experience
- Minimum of six months experience as a medical receptionist.
- Experience with customer service and multi-phone lines and knowledge of proper phone etiquette.
