A Healthcare Facility in Glens Falls, NY is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its team.
DUTIES:
Assist the Director of Nursing with management responsibilities and maintaining quality of care.
Conduct weekly wound and skin rounds.
Ensure regulatory compliance and effective communication with all levels of nursing staff.
Oversee the nursing care and medical needs of all residents.
Participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation.
Coordinate and direct nursing service planning.
Maintain a strong knowledge of nursing theory and practice.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records.
Assist with interviewing, hiring, and orienting new nursing staff.
Oversee daily staffing operations.
Assist with infection control.
Maintain a flexible schedule to address changing facility needs.
REQUIREMENTS:
Current New York State RN license required.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a long-term care setting.
2 years of management experience preferred.
1 year of staff education experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory abilities.
Flexibility to work varied hours as needed.
