Responsibilities and duties for RN/LPN Unit Manager:
The primary purpose of this job is to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Interpret the department’s policies and procedures to personnel. resident, visitors, and government agencies as required.
Perform administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc.
Conduct and coordinate the development and completion of the resident assessment (MDS) in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern the resident assessment, including the implementation of RAPs and triggers.
Assist in developing implementing and maintaining an ongoing quality assurance program for the resident assessment/care plan.
Ensure that original documents and resident data are stored in the proper place.
Identify, manage, and treat specific skin disorders and primary and secondary lesions, such as skin abrasions, foot problems such as corns and calluses, decubitus ulcers, bacterial, parasitic and viral skin infections, scaling, popular diseases, and benign tumors.
Provide assessment and diagnostic services to residents. Perform an assessment evaluation using techniques including observation, inspection, and palpation.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements for RN/LPN Unit Manager:
Previous Experience as a RN Unit Manager preferred
Licensed Registered Nurse
