Regional Director of Operations

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Director of Operations to provide operational leadership and oversight for a portfolio of skilled nursing facilities. This role is ideal for a proven healthcare leader who understands the complexities of long-term care operations and has a strong track record of improving facility performance, developing leadership teams, and maintaining high standards of resident care.

The Regional Director of Operations will partner closely with facility Administrators and regional leadership to drive operational, clinical, financial, and regulatory performance across assigned locations.

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for multiple skilled nursing facilities within the assigned region.

• Coach, mentor, and support facility Administrators and leadership teams.

• Monitor facility performance and develop action plans to address operational challenges.

• Drive census growth, employee retention, quality outcomes, and overall facility performance.

• Review financial performance, labor management, budgets, and key operational metrics.

• Ensure facilities maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

• Partner with clinical, human resources, recruitment, business development, and financial teams to achieve organizational goals.

• Support facilities through surveys, plans of correction, and regulatory initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, employee engagement, and resident satisfaction.

• Establish accountability for facility-level goals and follow through on performance improvement initiatives.

• Conduct regular facility visits and maintain a strong, visible leadership presence throughout the region.

• Assist with Administrator recruitment, onboarding, development, and succession planning.

• Promote a culture focused on quality care, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

• Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA)

• Multi-facility or regional leadership experience within skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute healthcare strongly preferred.

• Demonstrated success overseeing facility operations and improving performance.

• Strong understanding of CMS regulations, survey readiness, compliance, and skilled nursing operations.

• Experience with budgeting, labor management, census development, staffing, and financial performance.

• Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to analyze operational data and translate findings into actionable strategies.

• Must be comfortable traveling regularly throughout the assigned region.
