Waste Facility Personnel/Driver

Duties and Responsibilities: This is an entry level-hybrid position that will be driving approximately 10-15 hours per week and working in a waste processing center approximately 25-30 hours per week. Your duties and responsibilities will be those typically associated with route driving and warehouse personnel but may include other activities as assigned.

These responsibilities and activities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Transport waste safely from various customer locations to waste processing center.
• Load and maintain truck inventory
• Record and manifest for each pickup using paper or electronic means.
• Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation
• Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles and forklifts, in a way that facilitates the loading and unloading of the truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer’s safety instructions for that equipment.
• Take on material handling duties as necessary to complete the collection and delivery of necessary materials to locations, including handling materials during loading and unloading
• Must be able to lift approximately 50 lbs. consistently throughout the day.
• Relay customer feedback, including concerns, complaints, damaged containers, returns, and competitive knowledge whenever it is presented
• Process/consolidate waste at processing center in a safe manner. This includes operating various machinery and equipment for processing.
• Use appropriate PPE during waste handling and processing including company supplied negative pressure respirator during some tasks.
• Maintain inventory of required supplies and inform management when supplies need to be reordered.
• Clean, Sanitize and prepare containers for customer use.
• Wash company trucks when needed.

Requirements:

• Clean MVR
• Ability to pass drug screen
• Ability to pass background check
• Available to work between 6am and 5pm Monday thru Friday
• Ability to drive and work in ALL weather conditions
• Ability to stay out of town overnight 2-4 days per month preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
