What are the responsibilities and job description for the Soil Sorter position at Healthcare Linen Services Group?
PURPOSE: To provide quality service and products to our customers in a timely and professional manner.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the correct sorting of linen that has been placed on a moving conveyor belt in front of them. Picks up soil linen and places it in the corresponding sling/cart. Follows standard operating procedures. Must meet quality and production standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Be on time
- Have excellent attendance
- Meet established production standards
- Follow all company safety rules
- Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
- Be able to follow directions given by their team lead and supervisor
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Possess and maintain a positive attitude
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
- Be able to work past the schedule, as production issues may arise
- Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cross-train on other routes per production needs
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Be able to stand on feet up to 10 hours a day
- Sufficient manual dexterity to sort linen
- Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting and pulling
