About the Role:

The Electrical Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment, specifically within commercial laundry and related industrial environments. This position focuses on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems, including conveyor systems, pumps, and three-phase electrical components. The technician will work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance, often requiring flexibility to work overtime during peak operational periods. Safety and compliance with industry standards are paramount, as the role involves working with high-voltage systems and climbing ladders to access equipment. Ultimately, the technician’s expertise directly contributes to maintaining a safe, reliable, and productive manufacturing facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with completion of an electrical maintenance apprenticeship or technical training program.
  • Must have experience in electrical maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of three-phase electrical systems, motor controls, and industrial electrical components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift heavy equipment, and work in confined spaces safely.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level necessary to perform job duties.
  • Meet additional tasks requested by the lead, supervisor or management 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in industrial electrical maintenance or related technical fields.
  • Experience working with conveyor systems and industrial pumps in a manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automated control systems.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems maintenance including gasket replacement and alignment procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to work flexible hours including overtime to support production needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance on commercial laundry machinery, conveyor systems, pumps, and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in three-phase power systems and control circuits to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Inspect, replace, and maintain gaskets and other mechanical components to ensure optimal machine performance and safety.
  • Climb ladders and access elevated equipment safely to conduct inspections, repairs, and installations as required.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and respond promptly to emergency repair needs.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment status, repairs, and parts inventory.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Work overtime as needed to support continuous manufacturing operations and meet production deadlines.
