Human Resource Generalist

PURPOSE: To facilitate all HR functions and programs at the plant location and managed services accounts.

JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resource Generalist aids with and facilitates the human resource processes at the plant location and managed services accounts.  This role provides administrative support to the human resource function as needed, including recruitment, record-keeping, payroll, file maintenance and HRIS entry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

• Manage recruiting, interviewing and employee onboarding process.  Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds accordingly.
• Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
• Actively source qualified candidates using internet databases, social media, job boards, and employee referrals.
• Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communication.
• Conduct initial interviews to identify potential candidates for second interviews.
• Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled, reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
• Identify employee-related issues and implement solutions or escalate if necessary.
• Collaborate with marketing for our internal newsletter
• Coordinates and supports company employee recognition programs
• Assist and support all HR activities as needed
• Tact, discretion, and sensitivity when dealing with confidential information
• Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
• Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files. 
• Orders new-employee background checks when warranted.
• Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and recommends corrective action.
• Assists with processing of terminations.
• Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
• Schedules meetings and interviews as requested by the GM/RHRM.
• Makes photocopies; mails, scans and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
• Files documents into appropriate employee files.
• Assists or prepares correspondence as requested.
• Prepares new employee files.
• Processes mail.
• Processes payroll
• Oversee processing/keeping all credit card receipts and enter into Concur weekly and monthly
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Experience in ADP Workforce Now strongly preferred
